My name is Antonio and I am the initiator of projectbeats. Project work is what I did the last 20 years in different industries and in more than 15 countries. I can say that it has turned into my passion over time.

But what I have seen in my own projects as a project manager, troubleshooter or controller as well as in projects not directly involved is that in very rare cases everything is running as smoothly as planned or desired.

Reasons for project troubles or even failure are manifold. Sometimes the project objectives are not clearly defined or not supported by all stakeholders. Often technical issues become a nightmare. Or the right resources are just not at the right place. What I have observed is that nearly all well running as well as struggling projects have some specific patterns: The former projects are well planned, have clear and backed goals and have the right and motivated resources on hand. Also to mention is constant progress monitoring and honest reporting, especially in the event of deviations from the plan and the willingness and capacity to take appropriate countermeasures quickly. The poorer running projects usually do not have all this.
